Cozy breakfast/coffee place with very delightful staff and delicious food! Really enjoyed my stop in and will be back.

Great food and so is the service. Employees are always delightful. Best grits. I love all the healthy options as well. Great coffee options and the baked goods are delicious.

Amazing breakfast. People who run this place are great. Coffee superb. Had basic eggs over easy with sausage n toast ... perfect. Wife had cheese grits with scrambled eggs & collards. Great. Nice ambience outside. This place is great Highly recommended

This is one of my top breakfast spots in the city! Their scone and veg gravy is fantastic, ordered with a side of fresh potatoes. (The real thing-no frozen bagged stuff here!) In fact, EVERYTHING is made from scratch here, and it shows! Soooo damn good! I also love their jam bars-apricot is my fave, but the raspberry is also delicious. The coffee is, of course, excellent. (I do decaf, but my friends rave about the fully leaded stuff.) To top it off, the staff is lovely. Uptown is a pleasure every time!

Uptown Eats is about 1 mile from the Vinoy, where we're staying. Hubby and I decided to walk to breakfast this morning and it was well worth the walk. We ordered at the counter and they brought the food out to us. We both ordered the Two Eggs plate. The fried eggs were perfectly cooked as we ordered. We selected a biscuit, grits and cheese, and a side order of roasted potatoes. The biscuit was the best I've ever had. I wish I would have ordered extras (next time for sure!!). The grits were very flavorful as were the potatoes. We also ordered decaf mocha lattes which were so good. The weather was perfect, so we sat outside. They had a steady stream of customers, which makes sense once you've eaten there. This place deserves their almost 5 stars. I'll be sure to eat here again next time I'm in town!!

Uptown Eats made Yelps top 100 places to eat in 2023 so I had to see the hype for myself. And I get it. A true neighborhood cafe offering a variety of menu items; pastries and cookies, breakfast and lunch, and of course all the different caffeinated beverages. Pro tip, don't snag a table before ordering at the counter. Place your order at the counter first and then find a table either indoor our outdoor. The staff will bring your order to you. Food items are made to order from scratch. And it's noticeable. Their BLT came with a flavorful rosemary-maple-Dijon aioli that caught me off guard in the best way. They had a cheesesteak on special that was pretty good. Not a fan favorite and a bit messy. Their menu changes quite often making each visit a surprise. Uptown Eats is worth the visit.

I had the most delicious chicken salad I've ever had. And the bed of tender baby greens was beyond delicious. How often can you say that about salad greens? They use locally grown lettuces, and they made the salad so much better! I come here often for coffee, a chai tea, and a , but now that I've had lunch here, I'm coming back for more!! The service is always friendly, helpful and efficient. And I love all the shaded tables outside under the trees!

We stopped here for breakfast before exploring St. Pete on our last full day of our Florida trip (Thursday morning). It was not very busy and it was great weather. I think we missed a lot of the crowds in Florida in general from most people going for spring break a couple weeks before (we went Memorial Day week). They are pet friendly outside and have several tables to choose from, all nice and shaded. You order inside, but then they will bring everything out to you, which is really nice since we had our dogs. We each got an uptown cooler and it was the perfect amount of ratio of sweet and coffee, not too overpowering, not too bitter. We got a coffee cake and a cheddar jalapeño scone to share. They were both really good in their own ways, but completely different to compare to each other over which was "best." I recommend both! My husband ordered the uptown bowl and I ordered the greens n things bowl. We both opted to top them with an over easy egg and they were sososo good. We ordered a side of bacon to give to the dogs and a fruit plate for us to share. The fruit plate was the best of our whole trip- it had bananas, watermelon slices, blueberries, strawberries, orange slices, and nectarines/peaches. They were all so fresh and perfectly ripe. I would 100% stop in here again if we vacationed nearby or in St. Pete again.

Wowwwww~ maybe my new fave breakfast spot in DTSP? The Irish Creme coffee was smooth and delicious. This toast was .... Unreal- perfectly crisp and buttery, and of course the stars of the show were the whipped feta and tapenade!! Perfect balance of salty and savory. Also loved the rainbow salad!! I love the location, great service and vibes! Will be back

This place is fantastic. I've been twice now and am not sure I can find anything I'm not too crazy about. Everything from the food to the service to the coffee to the music to the people watching to the SUSTAINABILITY effort... you're looking at a pure winner, here. Uptown Eats has it all. Can we talk about their Air Carbon straws for a second?? They look and feel like traditional plastic straws, but are the first Carbon-Negative straw - I love this! There were 3 of us who dined at Uptown Eats this past weekend and we ordered The Uptown Bowl, 2 Egg Dish & a Berry Bowl. We also got a iced coffee, hazelnut iced coffee and hot tea. They have a selection of single tea bags available when you place your order. Note, Uptown Eats closes on most days by 2pm, so yes, this is a breakfasty/brunchy/lunchy place - they're closed on Tuesday's. They also have outdoor seating - gosh, maybe about 7 tables or so? Okay, that was a guess, a fair guess. Tables are available inside as well. This is a solid go-to for me now, whenever I'm visiting my friends in the St. Pete area.
